My garden waste bin and my general waste bin do ming occasionally.

Ours go into bags before they go in the bin, otherwise Jeyes fluid and the hosepipe over the outside drain.

Same here and if by chance a bag fails then we just pressure wash it when doing the cars

I wash ours once a year. The general rubbish one always has bagged rubbish so not too bad, but, the garden waste one is horrible. They smell wonderful of jeyes for a couple of weeks!

Would happily pay someone to come and clean them.

I’ve got an old broom I use, with hot soapy water, hose out afterwards. We have three wheelie bins, one for general rubbish, one for recycling and one for garden waste, so I blitz them every few months. Too tight to pay someone else to do it I’m afraid

Yes every time it’s emptied including the food bin with bleach and boiling water from the kettle leave upside down to dry

I love with my mil and she washes them out every time they are emptied. Think she uses washing up liquid and and broom.

None of our bins have ever been washed in 20 years since we moved to this house to my knowledge.
Maybe one once .
I can’t imagine the missus has ever cleaned them
That makes me I reckon well over £1000 better off than many on here who pay to get them cleaned .
Holiday v bin ?
Yes holiday please !

Definitely, but not if you clean yourself. £1000 better off and a clean bin 😉

Genuine question .
What makes people’s bins so dirty then need cleaning every time ?
Surely all the cardboard and bottles etc are clean ?
The general waste , do people not just put that in the bag that you keep in your kitchen bin and then throw that in your wheelie bin ?
The garden waste one is the only one I could possibly see getting a bit dirty if stuff sticks to the side if it gets wet ?
