Can you pre-book or do you have to book on arrival.
Thanks
Yes. Lots of times.

You can “prebook”; however, what that is is the software just waiting until a specific time before submitting the request. You are still at the mercy of if a car is around. There is usually plenty, but sometimes they will cancel on you as they don't like short distances. You will get one, though, build in a bit of time to your schedule for this.

Alternatively, there are local taxi firms, black cabs, shuttles (chargeable) and local buses. Dont rule out the last one by the way, sometimes not only the cheapest option (though sadly no longer free) but often the fastest.

There are discount codes on various Moneysaving websites. But they are not spectacular. Heathrow doesn't generally suffer from a lack of customers. Indeed, in normal times are often sold out.

Hotel and car park packages are often the best bet.

Just booked our parking for August. Long stay was Ł163 and short stay was Ł193. I used to work at Gatwick 20 years ago and my friend is a Police officer their. So I know they still have the same cowboys abusing cars in unofficial parking and I would imagine Heathrow is the same. Flying at 14:00 so we can drive down the M4 without staying overnight in a hotel.

Thanks, to get a quote and book I’m assuming I select terminal 5, then there’s various options such as long and short stay. Is one of these the pod parking?

POD parking comes up to book as POD parking, short/long stay are different car parks.

The POD parking is only available for a maximum of 2 weeks, so if you are 2 weeks + 1 day (as the overnight flight home adds a day) it doesn’t give you the option to book it.
