MRI scan, metal fillings / crowns

I’ve got an appointment for a MRI scan in a week or so. It’s for a problem with my hearing. I’m in the process of filling in the relevant forms and it is asking if I have any metal in my body.
I have metal crowns on 2 of my teeth. Does anyone know if I should tell them about these?
I plan to contact the unit on Monday but am asking on here just in case I can’t get through.

I had an MRI and I have dental implants. I put this on the form I filled in. There were no issues with this - and the scan went ahead as normal.

I've had a few mri's, including one of my head - never thought to mention my gold crown! It's covered in porcelain though. All was fine

I've had an MRI too. Didn't even think about fillings and was told to keep my wedding ring on.

Think about what you wear on the day. No metal on your trousers (so no jeans but joggers) females cant wear a bra.

I hadn’t thought about metal on my jeans, I presumed I would have to wear a gown.

I wore normal clothes and mine was a pelvis/hip scan. DD also wore normal clothes. Mine was at the Spire. Not sure if other hospitals are different or maybe it was due to Covid. They provided a locker for my handbag, coat and car keys.

I've had quite a few on my head (most for my hearing). Never thought to say anything about all my fillings and no-one ever mentioned them.

MRI head first tip: If you are even slightly claustrophobic, ask for the mirror to be added to the head cage they'll likely put on you. Makes all the difference for me.

My teenage son has had many MRIs, head, chest and abdomen. He always has to change into a gown.
I always accompany him, and have to take off jewellery, but not my underwired bra although I did notice it once when I got close to the machine!

Nope. If you make sure everything you're wearing has no metal, it's soooooo much more comfortable in your own clothes, easier for the MRI staff too. I also find that it's cold in there, so generally wear a sweatshirt and joggers (just make sure the joggers don't have metal eyelets with a drawstring).

Oh and comfort wise, if they offer the wedge pillow for under your knees, take it.

I’ve just had an mri this morning. Wore gym clothes as no metal. They asked about dental implants but not fillings.
