we decided not to book for next April and are waiting for the July dates to come online. With how things are in Japan, even April looked twitchy...

Who are you using for insurance? That was a consideration for us with all the uncertanties.

We’ve decided to postpone until 2023. Already cancelled this year and decided that next year is too uncertain for us too. We have booked Florida for next summer and going to do a road trip in New England.

Well I understand your reasons, today announced they intend to vaccinate all of the population by November, so I will keep hoping that our trip goes ahead in May. However, sounds like you will have some fabs trips next year anyway

Well Anthony, you've inspired us to take a risk.
There are two of us who are supposed to be travelling but finding reward seats for two people on the same flight seems to be impossible in May. So we had settled on flying on the same day on two different flights and then trying to get someone at the airport to put us on the same flight. But then that option had vanished this morning, too... So now I've booked a single one-way ticket, hoping that a second seat becomes available. I'm very happy with the date (same time as you) but I won't be able to relax until we find a second seat. And a return flight!

So just to be clear, going on 9th May and coming back 23rd, flying from Frankfurt (as that normally has 2 flights a ay)
