VRBO UK vs US pricing
We've been looking at villas for next summer on VRBO and noticed that there is a significant pricing difference between the price on the UK site in £ and the price on the US site when converting $ to £
Has anyone noticed this and booked on the US site |

Vrbo
We were also looking at booking on VBRO having used them in the past, didn't look on their US site though. What I did notice was that the majority of the villas will list the management company that run the villas, in our case the management company had their own website listing their villas and the one we were going to book was approx £500 cheaper. Whether this is down to the fee VBRO charges I'm unsure. Did a bit of digging on the management company and owners and decided to book through them.

I had found the same very surprised by the difference also noticed that people seem to be using it to help advertise their properties but have their own site too.

I'm not sure but I wonder if it relates to the protection provided by UK bookings?

We found a big difference with the price between VRBO and booking direct with the managing agents, so of course we booked direct with the managing agents.
We paid our deposit by CC and ensured that we fully understood the booking conditions. Ours has a $100 admin fee if we need to cancel less than 15 days before we are due to arrive, or the dates could be moved up to a year or a voucher for future bookings. If more than 15 days a full refund is given.

We booked on the US site in $’s and saved a bit on the UK prices. Had no issues with it.
