Does anyone have a husky or malamute or a cross between them.

Just a question for any of you that have a husky or a malamute, we have a cross and at the moment it is a nightmare with him blowing his coat we have white tumbleweed of white fur around the house it’s never ending.

I feel your pain, ours is only a Labrador, but I think I could hoover 24/7 and I’d still find fur, so I should imagine yours is x100 worse, I use a furminator brush on him once a week which seems to help. Happy hoovering 🤪

Yep
I have an almost 9 year old Husky/GSD cross who usually sheds huge amounts
I often finish hoovering then turn around and there’s more large white clumps

I don’t but my friends daughter and partner have a husky, they get him deshedded every other week at the groomers £20 per time. They say its worth every penny! Certain times of the year they get him done every 7-10 days.

I have a Korean jindo they have the same coat. He has been blowing it all summer long, seems to have got worse as he has gotten older (he is 14) and just constant shedding rather than twice per year.

Ours is a lot younger at 7 but have found the same, but it is very bad at the moment almost full blow of his coat it is very early this year.
