Bought it from home bargains keeps the smell away!

We can put anything in our black bin here except bricks and rubble, that has to go to the specific tip, fair enough really.

No way would I pay £6 a month for clean bins! As if they need cleaning every fortnight. When ours gets a bit stinky my husband will give it a hose and a swill out with bleach

Everything is bagged so it’s months before it smells

We used to have some people that followed round the bin men and cleaned them for us at our old house. Think it was about £3 a month for both bins, fantastic service.

Now we have only done it once when we had maggots, as you say yuk yuk yuk Although I brushed out the garden bins yesterday as dh said it smelt awful - not too bad to me, just like silage. Left the lid open to dry out hopefully will help! Life it too short to clean wheelie bins

I have no problem getting filthy dirty. The downside of being a Tradesman.

However using a power hose you must get blasted in the face with all the excess watwer and spray flying out of the bin.

Be very handy for the bottom of it though.

I wish we had a wheelie bin cleaning company around here. I clean mine out approx twice a year. I bag everything so the bin always looks clean and I use deodorizers but throughout the summer months, the bin can still be somewhat pungent.

I spray in and out with Cillit Bang Mousse and let that do its work and then go at it with a bucket of bleach or disinfectant and then scrub with a brush I keep for the job.

Yes, I do. I also bag my rubbish, can’t imagine not doing this 😳
It’s still gets messy so clean it out every 3/6 months.

Add water, and detergent. Let it sit for a couple of hours before a rinse out with hosepipe.

I don’t want to pay for someone else to do it 🤣

We pay someone to clean ours too. £2 every fortnight - money well spent!

We have 4 bins, the blue bin is for paper/cardboard so doesn't get stinky, the grey bin is for general waste but that has a black wheelie bin liner in so stays clean.

The black bin is for bottles, cans, foil, plastics and can get a bit stinky (ale & wine ) so is cleaned out once a month by hubbie with bleachy water and the green bin is for garden waste and food but food is always put in food bags so it does get a bit stinky but again it's washed out once a month

Wow, 4 bins. We have 3 and I always think I wonder where people without a drive/small drive put them all!
