Thank you for being so honest .
My daughter is about 6 years on from when she got anorexia .
Things aren’t anywhere near as bad as the first couple of years , but still no sign of being illness free.

Can I ask if there was one ‘ lightbulb’ moment that triggered your move out of anorexia ?

Hi folks,

A little update from me….

No more appointments at the eating disorder unit for DD2

DD2 has worked so hard and I am immensely proud of her and the effort she has put in to getting herself on a path to wellness.

She is still underweight but they were happy with her blood tests and despite progress being slow they are now happy for DD2 to just continue with her weekly check in with CAMHS.

She is so much brighter in herself

She is due to start some home tutoring in the near future and we’ll just see how that pans out….

She has her second appointment with a highly regarded psychiatrist next week. We had our first appointment with him before Xmas, we all attended. It was tough going as he wanted to completely understand what we had all experienced the night that DD1 died and how that impacted DD2 and us all as a family.

Hopefully this next appointment with him will be a little easier…. they are just trying to asses if DD2 would benefit from any other assistance re her anxiety.

So DD2 needs to continue to gain weight but with a more relaxed approach

So super hopeful that she will be well enough for a holiday in the summer, she’s says she feels well enough right now
