Annual Pass
Hi,
We may get Disney annual pass for the first time. Is anyone able to tell me what the annual pass queue is like? Is it any quicker compared to main entrance? I see all the perks online, is there any hidden perks that only AP holders know? Many thanks Edited at 05:51 PM. |

Which park is this for? If it's for Disney, make sure to do the maths as you really need to go for quite awhile to recoup the costs as we can only purchase the top level pass.

Thanks I have edit it - it’s for Disney.
We need to buy two lots of 14 days tickets as we are there for almost 3 weeks and want to spend most of the time in Disney |

The AP is over £1k now, plus more if you want the waterparks and memory maker. IMO, it's not worth it for a 3 week trip.
The Disney ultimate tickets are due to change in a few weeks, you will now get 14 days entry over a period of 18 days. So this will work out in your favour as you could stretch a single ticket to cover the majority of your trip. Just have a few days either offsite or at the resorts or Disney Springs. Maybe add an extra day ticket (£100ish depending on dates) if you really want both your first and last days in a Disney park. Edited at 06:05 PM. |

One of the main perks for us is the free parking. This means we can nip to a park just for a few hours if we fancy . You really need to get 3 holidays out of it really to make it worthwhile tho. We’ve found the special pass holder line very often isn’t open at park opening and dosnt open until later which is a bit useless!

The AP tickets and prices recently changed.
Your looking at nearly $1400 for the current ticket, you’ll need to add on the water parks, additional $99+tax and if you want memory maker then another $99+ tax. The new Disney tickets launching soon give you 14 days use over 18 days. You may find that suits you ok. Otherwise it will actually work out cheaper to get a UK 14 and 7 day ticket, or add a few days on a US ticket. Unless you plan to visit again, but really to make it worthwhile you need 2 ideally 3 trips |

I can only cho what others have said. The price has shot up, you need 3 trips to make it worthwhile. The pass holder queue is often a farce, anyone gets in it, it’s not always shorter or faster!
I don’t think we will bother to renew our pass now (never thought I would say that). |

Just to add that from Nov, the Ultimate is changing to "Magic" & the 14 day Ultimate can now be 14 entries over 18 days & certainly a better option than an AP at £1k+

We have been to 3 Disney parks using our annual passes in the past week and the AP entrance queue is of minimal benefit as there tends to be only one or two allocated entrances and sometimes it’s quicker to just use one of the numerous others.
In fact we embarrassingly slowed down the one AP entrance at Hollywood Studios yesterday as we made a spontaneous decision to go there completely forgetting that we hadn’t made a reservation. There were no reservations available there but one of the staff helpfully booked us into Epcot so the sweaty walk we’d just done from the car (as the trams no longer operate) had to be repeated back to the car and again from the Epcot car park to the entrance. |

Also if you stay at disney with any free perks ie $200 gift cards or the free ddp if it ever comes back etc. you need to book a hotel and ticket package to get these. Need to factor that in.
If staying offside maybe price only one of your party having the Ap which would give you certain discounts and free parking We are going may and Sept for 2 week holidays and didn't work out better value than the separate 14 day passes. Also consider if your 2nd holiday gets cancelled for any reason Edited at 02:22 PM. |
