Disney Genie is just weird with Ultimate Tickets

Right …. Like the title says it’s just weird…

On launch day tried to play with the new Genie feature only to have it say .. no no no … you have no linked tickets ….. But yesterday I do 14 day UK Ultimates all linked up and park reservations made.
Yesterday morning I logged in again to see if the error had sorted itself out and low and behold it was working and I planned 3 days .. left the rest has had work to do !
Logged in again lunchtime and …. Oh no …. Same issue as launch day … no linked tickets error 😡…. But it was working a few hours ago I yelled at the app !
Left it again for the rest of yesterday …

Now to today … logged in just after 6am and yayyyyyyy all working zippidi di do dah…… planned a few days and then again has to stop as work was calling …..
Now on a break so thought arrrr let’s plan another few days …. And yes you’ve guessed it 😡😡😡😡….. No linked tickets error. AGAIN ….

It’s just weird …and very frustrating

They've already confirmed that Genie is not currently compatible with UK tickets and won't be until November.

Ultimate tickets have been discontinued now, so it will take a little while for them to sort out those of us with existing Ultimates. I'm resisting doing anything with ours yet as we don't go until January.

Haha sorry if it sounded short. Just been saying that in every Genie thread since it launched.

There's not really much point using it in advance anyway tbh. All you can do is set preferences and it says to check back on the day.

We don't all read every thread and spend as much time on here as you do though.

It could be a bit concerning for the (admittedly extremely small) number of people who might be over there now and have Ultimate tickets. They might be Brits who travelled to another country for 2 weeks and then onto Florida or folk with joint UK/US citizenship who bought Ultimate tickets or Americans who bought Ultimate tickets using a British delivery address and a VPN because they are better/cheaper than the US tickets. You'd think Disney would've made sure all tickets worked with Genie/Genie+ before it was rolled out.

Anyway, let's hope they have it sorted by 8th November for those going just after then.

I think it should be fine for Ultimate tickets out there, as they basically convert to dated tickets as soon as you activate them. The issue appears to be around the fact UK tickets are currently undated prior to activation.

I have just purchased ultimate tickets today for May direct with Disney, no mention of them being discontinued, hope I haven't missed anything. Not been on here for so long🙄
