Often a single Disney film will make more than that amount in profits. And the Disney parks make that much in profits every 4 months or so. So, y'know, you could say he deserves that 'little' retirement fund.
I agree with you. I reckon you would be really hard pushed to spend the interest on that amount let alone touch the capital.
Mrs Morrow would have a darn good go though.

They should have renamed it Igerland in his honour. There's so little of Walt's vision left.

You mentioned it was $690million in investments? Which isn't quite the same as have $690million in cash sat in the bank making interest. As we know, the value of those investments can go down as well as up. Although if those investments are in Disney I expect them to keep on rising for some time (after the initial drop yesterday because of this announcement).

It is a silly amount of money though. I mean, no one needs $690million... or even a tenth of that. Still, I bet he gives more money to charity than I do (he can afford it!).

Igerland has a certain ring to it. Yes, I like it.

Now all they need to do is get rid of all the old, out of date rides that only still exist because of people's sense of nostalgia for the fictional "good old days" and replace 'em with some brand new, state-of-the-art attractions. Because, as Walt said, Disney/Igerland "will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world"... and money left in Disney's accounts.

And also he's obsessed with IPs everywhere in the parks, instead of original rides and attractions - Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Everest, etc would never have seen the light of day under his leadership.

He also was less than complimentary about CM and doesn't see the need for the live entertainment in the parks.

Perhaps he has run out of ideas on how to screw money out of people and now it's someone else's turn
