Disney hotel changes
Hey everyone,
How easy is it to change a booking from one Disney hotel to another? We are torn between two and I just want to get one booked. If we change our minds is it easy to change and is there a cost? Thank you! |

If you are booking directly with Disney, changes are extremely easy. As long as there is availability, switching hotels is just a phone call. Normally you would have to pay an amendment fee of £50 unless your new booking is more expensive, although I think they are currently offering free amendments.
I haven't booked third party and made changes, so can't speak for those. But have made multiple amends with Disney direct and it's never been an issue. |

If booked directly it’s very easy. I’ve changed mind once already and might have to call tomorrow to make another change.

It’s so easy. I’ve done it so many times recently as I can’t make up my mind. Last change we moved from one room at a moderate to two rooms at a value. Took the lady 5 minutes to do switch everything.

We've booked via Attraction Tickets. You can make 2 changes to the booking for free.
We've booked one hotel but may change if our preferred one becomes available. Attraction Tickets advised that this would be a free change (as long as you've not already used up the 2 changes). |

Depends on who you've booked with and under what terms!
I tend to book room only directly with Disney USA. In the past I've had no issues changing my reservations as long as there was availability in the room category I wanted to change to. In 2017 I was booked for a split stay at Pop and I think POFQ. Got to Pop, got a great refurbished room that I really enjoyed staying in, so decided I might as well save some money and stay at Pop for the whole trip. Called Disney and changed the POFQ booking to Pop - was very easy to do so! (Of course I'm not sure how easy it is to do these days with COVID-19 and reduced hotel room availability etc...)
