Mobile Bit of help. Here now after yesterday’s fun!

After managing to make it to Miami yesterday despite the delay from Newcastle we found our bags didn’t make it. They were supposed to come last night and despite hours wasted on the phone I have no idea if they are coming today (BA have said they don’t know if the courier company is working today). Anyone know any direct numbers in BA or know what has style we might gat buying clothes and getting refunds later. Any help will be gratefully received

You'll have two routes, claiming from BA or claiming from your travel insurance so instead of wasting valuable fun time on the phone , hit your nearest Target or Walmart for shorts, tees and underwear as well as any other essentials, keep the receipts and go have FUN !

As Duchy said. I would head for Walmart and buy enough shorts, t shirts and underwear for two or three days and keep the receipts so that I can claim later.

BA should have given you a pre paid card at the airport ( with PIN) to purchase items to see you through until the cases arrive.

You are entitled to a set amount from BA in order to buy 'essentials' go get what you really need from the day you arrive to at least tomorrow. You need to get as much documentation aas you can as you can for a claim from them for your 'cancelled' flight, your trip down to catch the other plane etc.
From what I understand you had no idea your flight had been cancelled to start with. Check out Flight Stats and you will find out exactly where you proposed flight was during a day before you were due to be on it & get copies of your flight tickets etc - everything, make sure you have copies as you will be required to send the originals off at some point. If you have timethen start sorting things out now. I did the day after a similar thing happend to us with BA & sent of my claim immediatly on the day we returned and was reimbursed within 3 weeks without any problem because I had all the evidence that could not be disputed.
