Who buys petrol on the motorway?
I am not a mean man, but £1.48.9 a litre of standard petrol (not the fancy stuff) at the M3 services this morning My local asda is £1.20.9 a litre.
So if my memory serves me right 4.54 litres = 1 gallon. So £1.27 a gallon of petrol more at the motorway services than my local petrol station. I hate being ripped off, but clearly some people are happy to pay the motorway service prices. That said my costa was about 80p more than I usually pay plus their costa points app wasn't working (but my morning costa is like medication). |

Unless you're in Florida Mickey where there's only 3.785 litres in a gallon.
Hope your Sunday soon recovers after the Costa app trauma. Mick

Mick, I knew the USA gallon was less than ours, but I thought it was nearer 4 gallons.
The costa app wasn't an issue, and the costa lady asked if I wanted the receipt to claim it back another time, but I said I would manage without the 19p it's worth. On a serious note Mick, I always make sure I have a full tank when doing motorway journeys and wouldn't ever buy petrol at the motorway services. |

Roll on the Wawa at 192/Avalon currently $2.24 for a US gallon. At £1/$1.20 that's about 50p a litre
$30 on pump 6 please.

I’ve only ever bought it from motorway services twice. Both times on the way to work when traffic was waaaay worse than I had expected so didn’t want to take the risk.
I usually fill up in the Sainsburys garage near my work as it always seems to be the cheapest I can find on any of my regular routes. |

Who buys it? The desperate and the disorganised and the people who don't pay for their own petrol.

It was £1.56 at the Shell on Brtonwood services a few weeks ago and there were lots of idiots filling up? The Shell garage a mile away was £1.29! What I don’t get about service stations is they say they are priced more as they are out of they . . . . . . . . no they’re not, they are in the easiest places to deliver to, right on the motorway network.

We usually fill up at Tesco. However if we are on a journey and need petrol then we would fill up on the motorway rather than exit and drive around trying to find a garage somewhere we are perhaps not familiar with.

Individuals that clearly don’t plan and love being parted with their hard earned cash.
