Universal/Islands Express Pass at Easter
Please forgive the 2nd thread about this but it's a different question so I thought it'd make more sense as a separate thread.
Have you been to Uni/Islands at Easter (not actual Easter weekned - about a week after) with Express Pass? If so, did you manage to get everything done in 2 days? We have always got things done in 2 days in late August but I've never been at Easter and I hear horror stories about crowds... will we be ok in that time? Technically we have 2.5 days but I like to keep the .5 for repeat rides of favourites. |

As I worked in a school I had to go at Easter a few years ago. Luckily the Easter weekend was at the end of the two week holiday. Our first week at Disney/Universal was great. Small (ish) queues, didn't need FP at all. Did all the parks in one day each.
However, our second week, ie the week before the Easter weekend was a different matter. I ended up getting a FP for Universal Studios (the one where it is 1 pass for each ride), and we then took each ride as it came. I remember MIB only had a small queue, so we saved the FP for later etc. So for you I would say the week after the Easter weekend will probably be bad, but the following week much quieter. Hope that helps. |

We stayed at RPR on Good Friday night in 2017 so had 2 days express passes right over the easter weekend. The parks WERE busy and some of the express queues were long (longer than a disney fast pass queue) we were finding that on average the express line took about half the amount of time as the regular. This meant we still queued for the despicable me ride for about an hour!
However, we did manage to do all the rides in the 2 days and even did some of our favourites (The Mummy, Spiderman, Fearfalls, one of the water rides and the Hogwarts express from memory) at least twice. Edited at 01:17 PM. |
