Which hotel would you pick and why?

Hey everyone!

I need help deciding so please tell me which hotel you’d pick and why!

First up it’s between Cabana bay and Aventura hotel.

Second it’s between The poly, The Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Which would you pick and why? I can’t decided because I want to stay at them all so I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me make a decision 🙊

Thanks

I love the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, never stayed at the anywhere else at Universal but Hard Rock is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

For your second choice I would choose The Poly, Animal Kingdom is a bit far out & Wilderness Lodge would be a very good choice but the monorail and restaurants at the Poly give it a slight edge for me.

1st choice - Aventura mainly because it's new and I've not stayed there haha
2nd choice - I would go Animal Kingdom as long as it's the Savannah view room, otherwise Poly as it's the best location.

No opinion on the Universal area hotels, I'm Disney only...

But from the second list, WL for me. I'm not really an AKL fan (even though I love AK, having the savannah at the resort isn't really a draw for some reason) and see so many reports on how busy the Poly is which puts me off.

I love Aventura. We’ve stayed twice and I can’t say enough great things about it for it’s price point. Not stayed at cabana yet but have also stayed at the 3 express pass hotels numerous times. I have a Feb 2020 from a Aventura.

Not stayed at WL but have stayed at Poly and AKL, not sure I’d return to the poly but AKL is great again for the price you pay and WL is on my list. I only have food reports from AKL, 2017 and 2016.

I found the poly over run with visitors, not a fan of the whole outer building set up for a deluxe that said we were there over 4th of July and before the pool was gated, we had a lovely trip but since stayed at other deludes Yacht Club, AKL, beach club and contemporary and they’d all be above the poly.

I've never stayed on site at Disney but I have Universal.

It depends who you are going with? If you've got kids with you I would definitely say Cabana Bay there's a lot more there for them to do. Aventura is a nice modern hotel but I would say it's aimed more at adults and teens.

We stay at Cabana Bay though i just prefer the atmosphere and the rooms feel a bit bigger.

You can also still use the facilities at both hotels though which is good.

Have only stayed at RPR but had been due to stay at Sapphire so I'd pick there.
Haven't stayed at Poly but you can't really go wrong with AK or WL- they are near enough identical but AK has the better pool & the animals but is definitely a bit more remote.

Cabana Bay for the pool. lazy river and the large family rooms, and out of the Disney choices I would go for AKL or WL and avoid the Poly. I always wanted to stay there, but we went for breakfast at Ohana one morning and it was so chaotic and noisy, we all decided that we would never stay there! Where as we have been for dinner at both WL and AKL and they are much calmer.

We have stayed at the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I would rank AKL the top as its just so unique compared to most other hotels in the world and its usually the cheapest one.
People complain about the location of AKL, but think about it, AKL is next to Animal Kingdom just link Poly and WL is next to Magic Kingdom. Then Springs, Epcot and HS are about the same distance from both (give or take).

If you are doing MK mainly then of course WL or Poly makes more sense.

I wasnt a huge fan of the Poly, but it has just been renovated, but is usually very expensive.
