I grew up in the Midlands so Walkers were the most readily available crisps. I really missed them when I moved south in 1985 and actually bought Cheese and Onion (my least favourite flavour) by mistake because they were in a green packet.

I also remember when plastic milk bottle caps weren't standard at the supermarkets and some had the semi skimmed in red and the skimmed in green. I remember joking at the time that there should be a national standard for these colours.

I agree... S&V crisps should be in a blue bag!

I love Cheese and Onion crisps, and my favourites in ascending order are...

Tayto crisps from NI... great taste and good quality potatoes too

The original Tayto from Dublin... Fantastic taste and quality too (FYI they are THE original flavoured crisps)

But the king of them all is... King crisps from Dublin! We used to travel by car to Ireland and fill the boot up (literally) with King crisps and Granby sausages...lol Haven't been able to find a crisp that comes close

Does anyone remember the red sky crisps, think red sky were owned by walkers. Anyway, they had a cream cheese and bacon flavour and omg, my absolute favourite crisp. Was devastated when they stopped being made.

This is a crucially important question and I fail to see why issues such as Brexit, Covid and vaccines have pushed it from the spotlight.

Perhaps you can bring your MP to table a question on a Wednesday? We need answers!

My first proper job after my apprenticeship was at Smiths Crisps in Portsmouth. We used to churn out over 10 million packets of standard 1oz/28g packets a week and around half that again in multipacks, that was 1 factory of 1 company. Golden Wonder and KP were our biggest rivals back then and presumably making as many if not more than Smiths, seems as a nation we do love a crisp!

Back then one of our our busiest lines was Bovril flavour, didn't get it myself, maybe it's a regional thing.
