Alamo - Minibus + Booking 2 cars?

I've seen on some aggregator sites that it's possible to book a Ford Passengervan (Minibus - 12 seats) with Alamo - but they don't seem to be available via Alamo direct or via Brits? Can find via Avis at a reasonable cost but keen to take advantage of the 3 additional drivers.

And on the subject of the additional drivers - does anyone know if it's possible for our party of 8 to be able to book 2 cars - each with 3 additional drivers - but with the drivers able to drive either of the cars? The flexibility of being able to drive either car so we can split the group up on certain days or if people want to go off on their own etc... would be beneficial.

If the booking has the facility for extra drivers be it 1 or 3 then the process is easy to manage. Just ensure you pull up to the exit with both vehicles together. Then hand over the respective licences as each vehicle is processed. Somebody will need to quickly grab them and hand them to the driver of the car behind. Seen it happen a few times.

As Tom says, just pull up together but do make sure that the lead drivers name is different for each vehicle.

Its rare for there to be 12 seater vehicles so it'll more than likely be the 15 seater... Same size vehicle, just with an extra bench in the back/less luggage space.

Being someone that has done a few family trips I’d recommend getting multiple cars rather than just the 1 van. You will drive each other mad

In previous years, i would have said get a couple of cars rather than a van but with the increased prices for next year and the parking charges at the hotels, that might not be as good an option as before.
