No not all MH at least they can buy what they want then, instead of a rubbish present maybe which will be shoved in a drawer

Dh gives me between £50 or £100 or sometimes I ask for an expensive gift like a ipad! If I don’t get it I throw a tantrum it usually works.
My kids give me £20 or £30 and my sister gives me £40, in-laws about £70, I agree I’m a spoilt brat but I am ott with others so it’s the least they can do!

It’s it special birthday MH like 70 or 80, then I would expect £100 from everyone (threaten not to talk to them in they don’t give it) but they might not give it so you don’t talk to them! 🤣

You take cash off your kids.

Did you send them out chimney sweeping when they were 6 years old?

They are loaded, I give my dd loads more because she is skint student but my boys are rich! Ds lives at home and gives a token of board money that pays for the toilet paper monthly.
By the time my dd was 6 she’d been to Florida 3 times! 🤣

I do the same as Claire for adult children/grandchildren, something to open and cash. Younger grandchildren get more presents less cash.
I don't really want or need anything but my kids won't accept that so they do but us gifts or even better meal cards or theatre tickets (not lately of course). Dave and I buy token presents our accounts are mostly joint so we can't really buy each other secret presents. We are now in the fortunate position we can buy whatever we want but I remember when we couldn't which is why I like to splash the cash on the kids.

Sandra, if you go to Marks a Colin Caterpillar cake would be appreciated for my birthday cake.
