If I have a disabled parking permit, should I bring it with me when I visit Florida

Yes. We will honor any special license plate or parking permit issued to a disabled person by any other state or district subject to the laws of the United States, or by a foreign country that issues disabled parking permits that display the international symbol of accessibility.

After the fiasco with the IDP you would think they would keep their website up to date if this is old info

Sorry I can't post links on my mobile but it is on the page that comes up first on a search for Florida disabled parking permit. You can read the details of the law from the links in the first post.

This was the original IDP fiasco. I'm done with arguing about it we know and comply with the law what anyone else does is their business.

I don't think people are trying to find ways around the law but simply enquiring about them...

This is the first trip that we have had to apply for the temp permit, managed without it in 2009 as we only used our blue badge for the parks and did not use disabled bays out side of them. This year we decided to apply and it couldn't have been easier. I emailed Samantha, she replied within an hour and asked us to phone to make payment. We did this, she was very helpful and said that they would send it out in about a month as we were applying well in advance. We go in 5 weeks and it arrived this morning. Very efficient. Cost $15.98 paid by Amex no probs

I would just try one of the others, we've dealt with them all and they are equally as helpful
