The Upper Deck on the BA flights is really popular with BA Executive Club members (plus One World equiv) who hold Silver or above and can chose those seats for free when making their booking. So you often find that they are the first to fill up but £318 is ridiculous.

Anyone know why I can only view up to to row 39 when choosing my seats.
In world traveller for a flight to Chicago , world traveller should go to row 28 ?

Is this on a 747? BA has two configurations, known as Mid-J and Super Hi-J (a reference to the number of Club World seats). WT starts at row 28 on Mid-J, and at row 39 on Super Hi-J.

Chicago is more likely to have Super Hi-J when 747s are being used, whereas routes like Miami and Las Vegas tend to get the Mid-J.

That's my educated guess anyway.

BA 295 Configuration is as follows

First - rows 1 to 5
Club - row 12HK then row 13&14, 17 to 22 not including Upper Deck
WTP - Rows 33 to 36
WT - Rows 39 to 55

So there is no row 28 on the aircraft scheduled to operate the service - there is more than one set of configurations on 747's so have you tried looking at basource seat maps?

Ah Peko beat me to it when I was typing this up.

You also might find the last row has been set aside for crew rest.

i actually prefer the back of the plane and we always choose, pay to choose this.

there are 5 of us so a 3 - 4 - 3 layout isnt good, so back left or right with a 3 and a 2 behind suits us best. The plane narrows here and theres a "little" extra aisle space - plus I enjoy people watching and the show is all in front of you there!

But the geniuses at BA have twigged and the 2 seats are £72 EACH!

So will cost 2 x 72 and 3 x 35 for us to book these seats one way!

I now know what the B in BA stands for!
