Dr Who tour of Cardiff
Hi,
My parents are going to Cardiff and would have enjoyed a Dr Who tour, however when looking for one there isn’t one on the dates they are there. I’m looking at putting together a few places for them to easily visit themselves, but I don’t know Dr Who or Cardiff and don’t know which are the best and easiest places to go to. Any ideas or suggestions? |

I did a Torchwood tour of Cardiff a few years back and it was wonderful (as a Torchwood fan I was very happy with it)

Will that be the same as the Dr Who stuff? I don’t know what Torcheood is, is it a spin off? What places did you go to that were good?

Dr Who have been filming right by my house for most of the Summer- I live in Sully (they also regularly film Casualty here too) but saw a weeping angel when dropping my daughter to school in Penarth which was surreal. I know the museum in Cardiff they use regular, that's In the centre so easy to get to- if you go to visit Wales i think they have suggestions of filming locations in and around Cardiff.
Talking of Torchwood- John Barrowman used to live down the road from us in Sully. |

I dont know - sorry. Torchwood was filmed around the water edge and there is even a shrine to Lanto which I wanted to visit (silly I know) - it was a self walking tour and I enjoyed it

Weeping angels scare me !
I work near the museum and regularly have film crews around. However other than the odd cybermen and David Tennant once never seen much other than the food trucks. A fair bit is filmed inside buildings I think. |

Megaflyer, My daughter was so excited to visit Ianto's shrine and even took a plastic flower to add. As huge Torchwood fans it was lovely to see 🙂

A lot of scenes for Dr Who has been filmed at nearby Southerndown Beach and also Margam Park, both places are also really nice to visit even for non Dr Who fans
