We have found Virgin to provide a excellent service from Manchester. Flew BA to South Africa from Heathrow and found the flight and crew to be on par with Virgin, no better no worse. It’s the price that we go with, a seat is what we are looking for everything else is a bonus.

Kept telling us 15 minutes more... Kids shattered as had been up for 17 hours (from 4am) and was not pleasant. Trying EDI - PHL - MCO this time.
We were on a TC plane that time. Landed at 1515 then put to a lay-by stance until 1600. Pulled onto offloading stance then waited until1845 to offload.

None of this was attributed to the airline, it was the immigration hall upgrades taking place and MCO couldn’t cope.

Flown with them last year and was very impressed ,fantastic with special assistance too ,we've booked again with them this year to as their price compared to virgin are competitive...I just don't get why virgin at times are so much more ? Having travelled with them before they were nothing special, for me I go for price and availability x

BA were great for us.

Having flown with Virgin and BA I would go with the cheapest/most convenient timings.

So for us - nothing but terrible experiences that I have never had with any other airline.
I wouldn't book with BA during August for this reason. They always seem to have strikes then. We're booked with them in May for the first time ever and the strike risk is still a concern.

Have flown long haul with both and personally didn’t think Virgin were any better than BA. We aren’t brand loyal but BA have been consistently cheaper for the dates/routes that we want so we stick with them still that changes.

We’ve flown with Virgin, TUI, TC and BA - it gets you from A to B. For the past several visits BA have been considerably cheaper and the one we tend to use.

We were delayed once coming home, and couldn’t fault the comms - the lesson we learnt is that not much is open at MCO after 9pm!

A small benefit we’ve found is that by doing a fly drive gives enough Avios to almost pay for a hotel for a night or an excursion (based on household account for 4).

Have flown BA a few times, the only thing I didn’t like was the refurb plane on the tpa-lgw route, so cramped!

Unfortunately our problems have never been in August so I think the problems can hit anytime. At least that is our experience.
