Child dining packages oop

I have upgraded my youngest, who is 6, to an adult ticket so she gets the choice of an adult QS meal. I’m planning on buying her TS meals as kids meals oop and then using the extra credits (in all honesty we will also do this for my 11yo as well as she doesn’t have a big appetite and prefers kids meals). If we do something like the Tonys parade package or fantasmic package will I still be able to book them as a child and get the child meal package or will I have to use an adult credit for her as she is now down as an adult for the ticket? I’m also wondering what would happen for buffets as well.

We’re planning to do exactly the same - I believe that if you’re paying OOP, then you just pay the child price for buffets and dining packages. (Obviously, if you’re using dining credits, it would have to be adult credits.)

We’ve done it in the past for the fantasmic package, I think my son was about 11 at the time but Brown Derby allowed us to do that but I wondered if things had changed.

We did both in August, just explained at ordering point that our 10 year old would be wanting to do that. However, always asked politely and never assumed they had to honour our request but it always worked for use.

It maybe is up to the restaurant but I don’t see how they can’t at least for my 6yo, maybe my 11yo might be different.
