Dibbers...what tips do you have for DLP?

So we are all booked up. Driving over via the tunnnel, a night in Calais, 4 nights Davy Crockett, 2 nights Staycity, 5 days worth of tickets 😊

I’ve picked up so many handy tips for WDW over the years from thedibb of things to see in the parks, restaurants to visit. I don’t think we would have known about things like Beach’s and Cream, Agent P at Epcot etc if it wasn’t for you lovely Dibbers.

So what are your tips for DLP?

Same as in WDW, make use of the EMH.

Get fastpasses for rides that fill up quick such as peter pan and BTM. Single rider works well on hyperspace mountain. Crushs coaster rarely drops below 40 mins after opening and is often 50mins all day. Ruuuuuuuuuun there as soon as emh opens. Fast food does not exist in DLP park, village fares better. Food in general is expensive, dont fear the picnic if you want to save money. Hot water flasks and sachets are great. Use linerberty app for meet and greets, they run out very quickly but do reappear throughout the day so keep checking. Normal queue meets are roughly 5 mins per group for waiting times so 12 groups will take up to an hour.

Thanks. I didn’t know about Linerberty, that’s a great tip.

We’ll never make the EMH (we are so rubbish at getting up and out early!) but will definitely make use of fast passes, single rider and parent swap.

We plan to take a picnic in the park and have the little concentrated juice bottles to add to water for the kids.

We are going mid July. I guess it will be busy, but I’m hoping with 5 days and assuming it’s open quite late, we should be able to do most things. To be honest, we’ll be happy to just take in the Disney atmosphere. Can’t wait!

Any other tips would be much appreciated ☺️

The parks are normally open until 11pm throughout July so you should have plenty of time to see and do everything you want to.

When we went in August we got up early for EMT (08.30am) and then had a few hours out of the park in the middle of the day when it was busiest/hottest to have a nice leisurely lunch. We would then return to the parks in the evening and always found the last few hours of the day were much quieter and we got so much done during this time!

What a fab trip report, thank you. You packed so much into your Disney Days. Davy Crockett looks like a great base for a summer trip. Such a lovely way to end the holiday too. I’ll be looking out for your WDW trip report 😊
