Tokyo Disney Resort for wimps?
As you can see by my title, I'm Queen of Team Wimp. I hate drops and don't do coasters or thrill rides. Give me It's a Small World and I'm happy. My limit is probably Pirates of the Caribbean (albeit the DLP version which does have a small drop - but even then I have to brace myself for it!)
Planning for Tokyo this November, and from the research I've done so far, there seem to be quite a lot of rides I can do. OK, so I won't be doing any of the Mountains (I don't in any park) or ToT. But oh, Sinbad, can't wait for that one! So - any tips from fellow wimps? I reckon 20,000 Leagues and the Nemo thing will be fine but really not fancying Journey to the Centre of the Earth. It looked fine till near the end! Also not sure about Indiana Jones. I don't think there are any drops in that one though. (I gather it is similar to Dinosaur but not done that one either!)

Hiya, another wimp here I did do Journey to the centre of the earth and it’s basically like test track. It looks a lot more ferocious than it is and I say that as someone else who’s limit is POTC too. And, by the time you get to centre of the earth you’re off anyway. It really does feel like you have just got on, a bit of movement and you’re off. Definitely don’t discount it.
We also did a water ride which was like hovercrafts and we got drenched. We only did Disneysea and after 6 and I also go more for atmosphere than rides as I’m scared stiff of most lol. Hopefully someone will be along soon. |

Agree with the above, journey to the centre of the earth feels similar to Test Track. We rode it 3 times. 🤣
Indiana Jones is more jerky/sharp movements than drops. Honestly most of the rides are similar to ones you’ll have been on in the other Disney parks. The Winnie the Pooh ride in Tokyo Disney was epic though. Definitely do that - it’s fine for wimps.

You also have the whole of tritons kingdom in disneysea. In disneysea it is probavly easier to list what you can't do: probably indiana jones (jerky, one drop smaller than potc), journey to center of the earth (it is dark, fast and does have a small drop, and TBH we would avoid due to queues vs ride length and get FP for other things), raging spirits, tot. Thats about it, the rest is fine. There is a younger friendly ariel coaster that is similar to the "big apple coasters" you see for younger kids, that one might suit you and is still a hoot.
In the main park then the only ones you cannot see to be sure (i.e. you can see btm) will be potc and space mountain (disappointed with this as we are spoilt by dlp) Edited at 09:29 AM. |

Oh that’s good to know about JTTCOTE as while it looked cool, I wasn’t sure about the drops and will have my Mum (nearly 80) and DD (11) so need to appeal to both age groups 🤣

From memory there is a tiny bit of “air time” over the crest of a hill towards the very end.

And it’s to do with the speed you’re travelling at rather than the size of the drop, I agree it’s not a worry!
