Inexperienced Tube user question

Sorry if this is a ridiculous question!

When using a debit card to tap on and out of tube stations, where do ladies keep their cards?

I’m going to London in the summer so probably won’t be needing a jacket. I definitely don’t like the idea of fumbling with my purse to take out my card and put it away again in a crowd of people. What do people with experience do?

Do you have a phone with Apple Pay on? I just use my mobile to pay.

I use my Apple Watch. I used to use an Oyster card and carry it in my pocket. I only kept a small balance on it so if it got stolen I wouldn’t lose much.

I tend to have my card in a zipped part of my bag, get it out whilst on the escalator and hold it in my palm.

I use my Apple watch. i wouldn't like fumbling with a card either because I would be sure to lose it.
No question is ridiculous if you don't know the answer to it.

When I’m in London I keep my card in the outer slot in my purse, which is in my handbag. It’s easy to retrieve and put back quickly, without having to take my purse out.

I use an Oyster card and I keep it in a Disney lanyard pouch which is attached to a retractable belt cord thingy. Depending on what I am wearing I attach the retractable thingy to my jeans belt loops or to a bracelet on my wrist , or to the zip on my jacket pocket.
