Mobile Is it ok..

To take the money as cash.. My hubby to be doesn't want to take cards because he thinks it will be a pain. So is it ok to take it all on cash? Has anybody done that before

I believe the upper limit is $10,000 cash...but in any event, it's best to have a credit card if only for emergencies.

I would be concerned the whole time that we might lose our holiday spends in one go if we had just cash.

Ahhhh okay hubby to be is asking how does it all work if we use a credit card what are the charges etc?

Problems arise from it being stolen/going missing and your insurance doesn't cover the amount you've taken.
Above poster is correct with a card swipe needed at hotels but hey, next time I'll most likely take cash only. Make sure there's a safe!

We usually split our holiday spends - about £1000 on a currency card and £500 in cash (in dollars though obviously)
