Is it ok..
To take the money as cash.. My hubby to be doesn't want to take cards because he thinks it will be a pain. So is it ok to take it all on cash? Has anybody done that before
Many thanks dibbers |

I believe the upper limit is $10,000 cash...but in any event, it's best to have a credit card if only for emergencies.

Oh, and if you're hiring a car or staying in a hotel, a card swipe is usual

I would be concerned the whole time that we might lose our holiday spends in one go if we had just cash.

Problems arise from it being stolen/going missing and your insurance doesn't cover the amount you've taken.
Above poster is correct with a card swipe needed at hotels but hey, next time I'll most likely take cash only. Make sure there's a safe! |

We usually split our holiday spends - about £1000 on a currency card and £500 in cash (in dollars though obviously)
