What are your (real) thoughts on personal plates

I have a personalised plate with a Disney connection

My Son has his initials and other letters and number which looks good but only for him.

I so wish I still had the plate off my 1962 Rover.

I can't say what it was/is as the car is still running around with it on.

If people don't like my plate then I am devasted - not!

Really can’t see the point and would never have one myself but if somebody wants one it’s their choice. Not for me though.

I did just see a strange plate

Letter, Number KKK

Seemed a weird choice although I was glad the car was not white...

Not for me but it’s a free country and all that. What I do object to is deliberately flouting the spacing regs to spell out a name or putting in a black plastic cover to try to change a letter/number - sometimes it makes it difficult to read a plate quickly.

to be fair the police do pick up on these as ANPR cameras struggle and i assume its an MOT fail? although you could easily swap plates for the MOT ?

Close to where I live there are several incorrectly spaced personalised plates and they don’t seem fussed - been like that for years. Maybe they do switch them for the MOT.

Honestly, they provoke a disproportionately large response in me. I can't abide them.

Of course there's lots of stuff I spend money on I'm sure that make people think I'm a daftie (holidays for one!) so it's swings and roundabouts really.

Same round here. I know someone got pulled years ago but I don't think they can bother now.
