So, cheap week away, turned into flights to Miami

Whilst looking for a week away, just the 2 of us, no kids...

I called Virgin Flying Club and they talked me into using a companion flight and some air miles, and they gave me 2 flights to Miami for 9 nights for £240 each, just the taxes paid ;-)

So now it's become Florida Keys and some... R&R

So far,
I've reserved a Ford Mustang convertible (tick) for 6 days

1 night at Best Western Florida City, we don't expect to get sorted, leave the airport, pick up a car before 6 ish, and thought a cheap night, maybe some outlet shopping and a bite to eat.

Then head down through the Keys, and stay for 4 nights at the Orchid Key in Key West, chill, explore, eat and drink.

The plan then was to head back up to Miami, and i've reserved 4 nights at The Redbury, South Beach and drop the car off.

No i'm questioning do we want that long in Miami? Or should we look to Fort Lauderdale, West Coast or spend longer in the keys?

We are just looking for sun, food, a few drinks and a bit of shopping?

What a great price and good choice for some R&R. We have flown into Miami a few times and spent the first night at Florida City before heading to the Key the next morning. 9 nights in the Keys would be great place to relax and enjoy the sun. If you really fancy some shopping a night up at Sawgrass would be another option. There's so much choice it must be difficult to decide. Have a great time and excellent choice.
