Hello fellow Dibbers - I hope this trip report finds you well.

We are Ems, Rich and Tom (aka the Huxwolds)…

We are seasoned Orlando visitors and occasional European theme park enthusiasts (see links in my signature for previous trip reports).

After many years pondering a West Coast trip, but always ending up reverting to Orlando, we finally made it to California this Summer.

This was a holiday in 3 parts…

Week 1 - Anaheim: 7 Nights at Clarion Anaheim. We had 4 Day Disneyland Tickets, plus Knott’s Berry Farm and a very exciting movie location visit to Puente Hills Mall (aka Twin Pines Mall from Back To The Future). We also experienced California’s first Hurricane (which was more of a tropical storm) in over 70 years.

Week 2 Part 1 - Hollywood North: 4 nights at Hilton Los Angeles Universal City. From here we did Warner Bros Studios, Six Flags, Universal, Griffith Observatory, Downtown LA and shopping in Burbank.

Week 2 Part 2 - Hollywood Boulevard: 3 nights at Loews Hollywood, which was right on Hollywood Boulevard behind the Dolby Theatre. From here we explored the Walk of Fame, visited Funko HQ, had a day at Venice Beach / Santa Monica, a 2nd day at Universal, plus more sightseeing and movie locations.

We did the whole thing using Ubers to get around.

This trippie will include sprinklings of Disney Magic, many roller coasters, lots of amazing food and some great movie locations.

As with my previous trip reports, I hope to be able to share a day each weekend, so will hopefully be all done around Christmas time. I hope you enjoy reading along with our adventures…

Day 12 (Tues 29/09) - Venice Beach & Santa Monica Pier

Day 13 (Weds 30/08) - Universal Studios & A Chilled Evening at Ovation Hollywood

Day 14 (Thur 31/08) - A Very Sad Travel Home Day

reading this with interest as i need (yes need) to go and to try to book a package with BA. Just trying to work out costs of uber vs a car.
Planning to visit Disney, Universal, Warner Bros and Six flags but not sure how many days at each. It will be just me.
