What time to park at Southampton port for 3pm embarkation

We have parking included for our P&O cruise next month, I just need to phone CPS to reserve it. What time shall we arrive at the parking if our embarkation time is 3pm.
We are booked into the Holiday Inn at Eastleigh the night before and check out is midday. We could always call for a coffee somewhere in Southampton to kill some time before heading to the port.

As I understand it, the 3pm boarding is advisory and you can check in earlier. You may have to wait but will be boarded ASAP. CPS start to accept vehicles from 11.15am.

Thanks. I was wondering if anyone took much notice of their allotted time. We don't have any loyalty points as it's our first ever cruise. Just don't want to be hanging around the cruise terminal for ages.

We went on a mini cruise last month with p and o, our embarkation time was 3.30. We booked cps which was great, right next to ship. We got there about 12 and were able to check in straight away and get on ship. Have a lovely time .

We have been on 12 cruises and we always arrive at the port for 10.30ish and almost always are on the ship by 11. This is mainly due to staying over the night before in a hotel and having to check out by 10 am. The boarding time is a suggestion and is meant to evenly disperse the crowds, but when you get to the port no one there knows what time you were allocated, you just queue up and board straight away. It’s great to be on board and having your first cocktail and snack by lunchtime!

We also arrived earlier. We went to a shopping mall for a few hours and then went to the boat and we boarded almost straight away.

That's great thanks. I think we have breakfast booked at the hotel, so we'll head for.the parking soon after. I'm guessing luggage won't be in our cabins until late afternoon, so will keep a few things we may need in hand luggage.
I'm actually getting more excited about it now it's only five weeks away 😀

Took longer than expected to drive due to two rather than one stop for the kids.
We arrived at 2pm. Was a slight queue in the car for cps. On the way in was given a letter. Went to toilet and looked at the boat for maybe 10mins or so and our number was called. Checked in at desk. Went through security and walked onto the boat. Was sat in the buffet restaurant for 3pm with drink and food.
So for us an hour before worked out well. Had it been packed it would only have been an hour but it was all moving pretty fast for us so was good.

I really hope that airport when we go next month will be just as easy
