Would you upgrade to AK Pool View from All Star Movies

We are staying here ASM for 5 nights before heading to OKW for 7 nights. We are celebrating my 50th & 20th Anniversary and haven't been to WDW since 2015.
At the present we have 3 rooms at ASM but if we upgraded we would have 2 rooms & kids (11 & 13) would be in a room with me & hubby instead of connecting rooms at ASM.
At the moment they are quoting me an additonal £2k to upgrade. I just can't work out if its worth it or not. I looked at upgrading to Pop & thats £1k for the 3 rooms.
Any thoughts or should I just stick with ASMovies for 5 nights.
Thanks

Although we always stay at AK, that is a lot to pay to essentially have less space and the pool view can mean it is a bit noisy at times. We were given a pool view last visit which was a bit meh so we moved for the second day onwards to partial savannah view. FYI we only booked and paid for standard room view so may be worth asking for upgrade cost to a standard room and then just put your request in for one of the MANY! partial savannah view rooms, which I think make this resort 🙂 (but having said all that, I would go with what your gut is telling you as everyone will have a different opinion and after all, it is your hard earned cash!) I have room views of both types if you would like me to post 👍

I wouldn't because I think more space is better for happy family holidays. Plus £2k is a lot of money which you could spend on an extra trip/tour etc

Animal Kingdom is our DVC home resort and whilst it is stunning imho, personally I would save spending an extra £2000 and stay with what you have, do the 5 nights at ASM and then onto OKW.

This was our original pool view room we were allocated..

Nothing at all wrong with it, but equally not mind blowing! I then asked to move to a partial savannah view and our balcony looked out onto this..

This room was to the left of the main lobby. Our previous stays have been to the right - here is view from that side!..

Hope that helps a bit! 🙂
