Dockside transport

For those that have stayed at dockside what time does the first bus leave for citywalk please and does it tend to be really busy so would we need to queue well before that? Thanks

General rule of thumb is the buses start operating an hour before the parks open for early admission.
So, for example, if Islands Early park admission is say 8a.m, the buses will start at 7a.m
Volcano Bay buses work to the same scenario too.
As far as queuing goes, yes you may have to do so but the buses tend to be lining up at that time to take you to CityWalk(not so much for Volcano Bay) so you don't tend to wait that long

We stayed at dockside in 2023 and there was nearly always a bus waiting just outside the entrance. Don’t recall waiting longer than a couple of minutes for the full 2 weeks we were there. Very plentiful and much more reliable than Disney buses IMO!

We stayed recently over Christmas and as said above there's never a wait. By the time the bus has filled up there's another one waiting behind it. Only time we waited for a bus was coming back from Volcano Bay when we just missed one, and it was fairly early in the day so I'm guessing not peak and they just had one bus running.
I did early entry one day and caught the bus around 7am, EE was from 8am so they run pretty early

We stayed at Surfside, not Dockside, but the first bus was at 7am with early entry starting from 8am (they actually let you in slightly before then). I think we ended up getting the second bus to City Walk a couple of times (at about 7:05am) and it wasn't particularly busy - about half full.

Buses for Dockside are excellent. Extremely impressive and loads better than Disney buses

On my last visit I caught the 7am bus from Surfside and I was the only one on it, that was cool.

I can concur with everyone. The buses are very reliable and consistent.. the bus only leaves when the next one is ready to arrive. Brilliant service
