Kennel Cough

Just back from the vets and my dog has got kennel cough. He was off on Sunday but perked up yesterday but last night started with a terrible cough. He is fully vaccinated but they can still catch it. My other dog luckily is OK at the moment but it is highly contagious. Harvey is all tucked up on the couch waiting for his chicken to cook feeling sorry for himself x

Yes I gave mine a tsp of normal honey (just let her lick it off the spoon), found keeping her calm (she coughed if she ran around, jumped around etc)

I hope he feels better soon and enjoys his chicken.

I know with the dog vaccines at work don’t cover for kennel cough and we have a seperate one that is a puff up a dogs nose. I would maybe check what vaccine you dog have had as maybe it doesn’t cover for KC.

Sorry yes it's both. It's a needle vaccine and then one up his nose x

Ah that’s bad luck he’s caught it then! Hopefully symptoms won’t be as bad for him and he will recover quickly.
