The meal came and my husband found eating difficult, the cabin crew asked them to move there seats forward, he did, she absolutely refused. It would have been for 10 minutes, she was eating not sleeping.

Just some ugly people in this world, they were drinking a lot and thought it was funny!
I'm surprised the cabin crew let it go as easily.

I know I'm petty, but I would probably have gently kicked the back of her seat every 30 seconds for the remainder of the journey.

I would also comment on the reclining, but I don't want to spark Dibb WW3 .

My husband spoke with the CSD, she said that all they could do was ask there was no way they could make the stupid woman stop reclining, they refused to make an announcement.

We are both Gold members so much for them supporting their frequent fliers. Husband wrote a complaint to BA and got the generic reply back.

There is no accounting for ugly entitled people.

I have to say, I'm impressed that this thread has managed to turn into a seat reclining thread as well as a drinking thread.

Now, if we can just steer the conversation towards tipping in restaurants and taking kids on holiday during term time then I think we'll be onto a winner.

Re the reclining, it causes a lot of angst on planes but 99.9% of the time passengers do comply when we ask them to put their seats up during meals. Unfortunately there is always one to ruin it but there really isn't anything we can do to force the issue

I'd be getting up every 10 minutes by hoisting myself up on her seat back and steadying myself to sit down by hanging on her seat back. Dodgy knees, what can you do? 😏

This happened to Mrs YT on Qatar to Doha. Plastic surgery type with plumped up lips did this. Seat fully back straight away.

Mrs YT started whacking the back of the seat I couldn’t believe it.😂

I was fortunately sat behind in the middle row. You don’t mess with Mrs YT she’s fierce.

Woman jumped up eventually and said what are you banging the seat for (as if not obvious).

Mrs YT said ‘Oh I’m sorry I’ve been trying to get my tray back up’.

Think woman got the message and seat went back up 2 mins later.

Mrs YT found it amusing.
