They tried to triple my dogs insurance too, so we cancelled. Then went to the ombudsman as they wouldn’t take responsibility. Tried to say he was a much larger dog because he put on a kilo through covid , then tried to backdate the underpayment
I won the case and they had to pay up.
He’d hurt his paw and had never been ill they tried all sorts to wangle out paying, the kept emailing for further information every time.
