We have done all the character buffets which are fantastic for kids and adults 😉 but for some reason Hollywood and vine was vile, we were extremely shocked but on further research it seems a lot of people have had a bad experience there. 😬😬😬😬😬

So Disney Table Service... (ignoring Blaze type places)...appreciating that we only basing upon our own thoughts/experience and not price - we all know that situation:

Bad (so never again)
  • Via Napoli - good service, food awful, drinks complete rip off, felt like a canteen
  • SciFi Diner - experience is fun, food is awful - dry, tasteless burgers
  • Planet Hollywood - we like an atmosphere, this place is ridiculously noisy so that you can't hear the person across the table

Meh (ok - probably would do again at some point)
  • Homecomin' - it was ok. Not sure what the hype was about but still worth a visit
  • Raglan Road' - Great entertainment and themed restaurant. Food ok - but stuff you get in the UK...
  • Citrico's - Lovely food, beautiful place - just nothing to draw us back in
  • Paradiso 37 - gets a bad rep, it was decent, nice place, done once done enough
  • San Angel Inn Restaurante - food poor for price, crammed in. Experience is fantastic. I believe it's improved in regards space around tables and food.

Great/Brilliant (we'd book again without a thought)
  • The Boathouse - atmosphere, food, service... it's got the lot. First place we book and 1st place we visit every trip
  • Summer House - atmosphere, food, service... it's got the lot. 2nd place we book and last place we visit every trip
  • Trattoria Al Forno - first visit last time for breakfast/brunch. Lovely place, food is good and location gorgeous
  • La Hacienda De San Angel - again, first time visit last trip. Food was very authentic and experience great. Would book again
  • 'Ohana's - some people "get it" and others don't. We love the theming, the food is good and keeps coming and if you get the night time when the MK display is on, they pump the sound into the restaurant

Kids have each chosen a restaurant, one likes stitch, one all things Japanese and the other loves ketchup 😂

Late breakfast at Ohana
Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe
Dinner at Teppan Edo

May also book B&C just for ice cream.

We are only in Disney for 5 nights and we are selecting one meal each and a family choice! Our plans so far are:

1. Chef Mickey - Good way to start our trip when we check in at BLT and meet the gang!
2. Be Our Guest - A family favourite
3. Roundup Rodeo BBQ - A new option for us
4. Space220 - Again another family favourite
5. T-Rex - For the dinosaur lovers in the family

Oh I love this thread! Our ADRs aren’t open yet and we don’t have dining plan. I don’t want to over plan so trying to stick to a handful of ‘must do’s’ and see where else we end up!

I really love character dining and have my eye on Topolinos and/or Obama’s.

I really want to try Sebastian’s - not sure if we must book that or not. Also one of our party is vegan and I’m unsure if this will work for family style (they offer a vegan/allergy option but don’t say if this can be done for an individual only or must be for whole party. Any insights welcomed!

I also really fancy Ale & Compass breakfast.

And given our vegan DD, really think an AKL restaurant would work well - plus I fancy being nosey and checking out the resort 🤪.

We’ve loved Crystal Palace & garden grill & Tusker House in the past but feel we want to do different things this trip.

We also had a very disappointing meal at Sci fi 😣 non of us could eat our meals as they were just warn and coated in grease & salt, we had been waiting ages for our meals to arrive we didn’t want to miss anymore park time so we paid and left 😫 the theming is amazing but we won’t go back now 🤢

We really wanted Space Lounge last year to show our sons girlfriend but we didn’t manage to get a booking 😫😫😫
They are onsite with us this year so we should, hopefully 🤞🏻 get a table 🤞🏻
I don’t think my husband will stretch to the restaurant prices though, so its the lounge for us 🤣🤣

must be the time for planning as we are having a Disney Dining planning "meeting" tonight or otherwise as hubby calls it "leftover drinks and cheese" haha.
We abs love Boma for breakfast and dinner and will be on our list of places to eat this summer. We done Trattatoria at Boardwalk for character breakfast back in 2018 and was disappointed with it, however I have heard lots of great things about the dinner which is not character dining and a really good Italian. Its on the list to discuss tonight. Also I fancy going to Raglan Road to get some entertainment with the Irish Dancing. We dont tend to do really fancy meals but like to try different dining places along with our usual character favourites. Tusker House in Animal Kingdom is really fun and although character meal it fun and the food is really nice. There is also Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom which gets good reviews.

We're going Club level, so will attempt to graze in there for most meals. ADR's are:
Ale and Compass breakfast
Cake Bake breakfast
Cally G dinner
V&A
We've been to all before, except Cake Bake. I would have added O'hana, but our last experience was dreadful.
