Tampa Marriott Airport Hotel / other hotel suggestions

Hi guys!

Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at this hotel or has any thoughts on staying here for the first 1/2 nights of the holiday.

We are flying in to Tampa and visiting Busch Gardens before heading up to Universal/WDW and saw this hotel had pretty good reviews. It would be very convenient to just crash at the hotel after we land (at around 7pm) and it appears to be very close to Busch for an uber the next day with some good airport restaurant choices and a hotel pool.

We have booked a refundable rate and chose concierge level because the lounge and food/drink offerings look great, however this is temporarily closed - we really hope it could be back open by the summer so if it's not we may rethink it altogether.

I appreciate there are probably much nicer hotels / places to stay in and around Tampa (we like the look of water street area, Clearwater and Anna Maria Island) however we don't think we will be getting a car now (because of the prices) and only have the night we land and then one more night before we are off to Orlando, so I'm not sure we would get the most out of staying somewhere by the coast?

Would love to hear your thoughts (good and bad about the hotel / plan)

We could hire a car for part of the trip if the prices come down and as I say the hotel is totally refundable so can make changes to the plan slightly.

Can't really say much about what the hotel is like but we are booked to stay here for our first night as also liked the thought of getting off the plane and straight to the hotel.
We're moving the next day to the Marriott at Water Street as we are picking the car up from there on the Monday morning as so much cheaper than getting from the airport.

We have stayed here before - found it really convenient - collect bags and straight to hotel. We had dinner at Hard Rock (which is almost next door). We collected our car next morning to head to Orlando. We would always do this now when travelling into Tampa. The hotel was fine - plenty of room for the 4 of us.
