All Star Sports Refurb

Hello Everyone,

We are booked to stay at AS Music in Aug, but over the Christmas period we decided to take DS girlfriend and to get them their own room (expensive drunk decision haha) anyway lots of shopping around and in order to book the same indirect flights we’ve had to book her a room in AS Sports instead.

All the photos on the Disney website suggest that this resort hasn’t had the same refurb as Music/Movies, does anyone have any up to date information on this? I’ve tried a google search but it’s out of date info.

It's under refurb now, that's why its reopening was delayed. Should be complete by the time it reopens.

I stayed a night in the all stars music before I moved to OKW.
I have to say the refurbed rooms are totally fabulous !
I was mega impressed

That’s great news! We normally stay off site but with this being our last “family” holiday together now my son is 21, I wanted to stay in the Disney bubble just once.

Honestly I am totally wowed by the rooms. The bus service was a bit sketchy
Ie 7 to MK, 6 to AK whilst I waited for one to Disney Springs - but thats a minor grumble lol

DS bus service is awful from every resort IME. I ended up getting an Uber from Pop as I was sick of watching MK buses go by.

Recent posts with photographs on the Current Issues thread show that ASS reburbishment has now commenced. If any Dibbers are staying there over the next few months, it would be appreciated if they could check out on the progress and report here. Thanks to anyone/everyone who takes the time to keep us updated.

The hotel is currently open isn’t it? My guess would be, like ASM a couple of years ago, some rooms will be renovated and some won’t be if you’re going this year. No harm in requesting a refurbed one.
