Britannia staycation sep21 - day 5 at sea

I wake up at 6.45am this morning which isn’t ideal. I’m not hungry though so just chill in my cabin reading and watching my iPad until it’s time for Fitsteps. I grab a juice from the buffet on my way down. It is sooo busy in here.

I head down the stairs and do the dance class, this is great again. We do the American smooth again and learn the Rhumba.

Back to my cabin I quickly get changed rather than hanging around in gym clothes all day again, then decide on a pre lunch of pizza as I won’t be able to eat lunch until about 2. I eat this on deck and it’s a very mild day, even if the sea is slightly choppy.

Then onto the cinema for the 12pm showing of Percy v Goliath. This had mixed reviews online but I must say I really enjoyed it, I do like a good true story.

I’m not that hungry really, as it’s only been 2 hours since the pizza, but decide to book a table for lunch. I go to the main dining room, get my first drink of the day (an improvement as it is nearly 2pm) and have split pea soup and a chicken and ham pie!

I am so unbelievably full, so wander back to my cabin. I chill here for a little bit, then get into my cossie and head up on deck. It’s time for a cocktail and I swim a bit in the pool but it’s quite choppy. An odd feeling as you swim and don’t get anywhere, then the boat rocks and you shoot forwards!

I sneak my strawberry daiquiri into the hot tub, and just chill, people watch and chat to the people who join me.

Eventually I decide I should probably go and get changed.

I have a show at 6.45pm so bide my time in the Crows nest. It’s the most beautiful night.

The show is Astonishing which I have seen once before. I loved it then though so it was no hardship watching it again.

I have a 7.45pm booking for Sindhu, the Indian restaurant. This has changed to a per dish pricing, which suits me.

The poppadoms and pickles were still there (and lovely) but there was no Lassi drink this time. I order the chicken but forget to take a photo before I’ve had a bite.. I then get the signature plate which is lamb, salmon and chicken. Amazing. It comes with 2 types of rice, lentil curry and a veggie curry with 2 types of bread. This is just a lot, and I do think they should ask if you want it to save waste. I do my best but no way can I eat all this.

I decline dessert, both because I am full, and because Asian desserts (or desserts at all) don’t do a lot for me. The little mini desserts/chocolates seem to have vanished too but I couldn’t eat any more anyway. This was £17 and very very tasty.

I go to the Live Lounge after for Pulse guilty pleasures. Unfortunately song choices were dire, YMCA, Sweet Caroline etc but I find myself sat right near the keyboard player who looks like a young, more attractive tattooed Bradley Cooper! Unsurprisingly I stay.

I haven’t finished my cocktail as my tummy feels a bit weird after the Indian so I take it up to my cabin, sit on my balcony for a bit, then to sleep
