Proving vaccination status

Hi all,

In a previous thread, I mentioned that I was thinking of switching my Disneyland Paris trip to California.

Now thinking of it more than ever. DS13 should be double vaccinated by then. However, I now have the complication that his first vaccine was never registered. The GP says we can take his vaccination card and they will add it to his records but it won’t show on the nhs app as it’s a different database. This means I’d be relying on his vaccine card and I’m presuming I’d be able to get a letter from the GP. Does anyone know if this would suffice?

Many thanks.

Why do you need your DS13 vaccination status? Disneyland California does not require proof of vaccine for entry, as it is in Anaheim, Orange County.

It is only LA County which is requiring proof of vaccine for indoor dining and entry. LA County is where Hollywood and Universal Studios are. This system is called Safe Pass ewddlacity/index.php/recovery/safepassla

For entry into USA, your DS13 is classed as unvaccinated. Therefore he needs to take either an LFT or PCR test 1 calendar day before travel.

You will sign an attestation form to say that you as the parent / guardian will test your under 18 DS13 3 to 5 days after arrival.

There is no official reporting system for the 3 to 5 day test after arrival for under 18's

There is no official track and trace system for the 3 to 5 day test after arrival for under 18's

There is no official information on the type of test for the 3 to 5 day test after arrival for under 18's

There is no official information about where the 3 to 5 day test after arrival for under 18's should be done.

It is an honour system and the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Currently, under the new mask mandate, everyone must wear masks in CA.

Vaccination status proof is being rolled out for sure . Your can take the blue card with photo ID as that is accepted or ask NHS to send you a certificate. My niece had her shots in Spain where she lives but had them added to her NHS record - it took less than 5 days to show.

Aims has posted some great up to date info and as it changes in Southern CA, I am sure she will update us . All being well, I will be there in a few days and see for myself as many reports we have seen are well meaning but contradictory to others - happy to send to a DM of the rules

Thank you. I’d forgotten that he didn’t need to be double vaccinated. There are so many different rules for different places that it’s hard to keep up. 🙈

Thank you both for your replies.

I’ve booked this morning. I really hope we get to go. 👍🏻

The mask rule in CA is due to be relaxed mid January so lets see what happens then but I feel you will all be OK x

The mask thing doesn’t bother me too much. Yes it’s not ideal but we went to Spain in July 2020 and coped so think we’ll be okay. 👍🏻
