Miami Car Rental July-August

Hello,

Really struggling with getting a decent price on car rental in Miami for the 20th July through to the 2nd August. Does anybody have any suggestions (ive tried alternative car rental outside of MIA airport) and its still around £1300 for a decent size car. There will be 3 adults and a Child and will all have our own cases.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:: Just on the back of this, does anybody know if you hire a pick up truck, does it have a lockable trunk? obviously thats where the cases would have to go and if it doesnt lock, anybody could quite easily be off with your stuff.

Email Andy at Discount Florida Car Hire link at the top of the car hire section
Usually gets better prices than online checks

As for the pickup we hired one a few years back and they come as an open back so no security for cases

Hi, I got a really good hire car quote from Virgin Holidays for a rental in August. I am collecting from Alamo at South Beach.

Hello Egon,
Would definitely recommend emailing Andy. We’re renting similar time to you (22 July to 4 Aug). Picking up from Miami Beach and dropping off at Miami Airport. Andy got us an intermediate SUV for £830. Not sure how that compares with your quotes?

I've had a pick up from Alamo, nothing in the back to lock stuff up, obviously the rule in the USA is you can leave absolutely anything in the back of a pick up truck and it will not be stolen, to be honest I wouldn't bother, terrible to drive and very few gizmos. Once the novelty wore off, we both agreed it was a bad choice.

We’ve paid £640 for 23 days hire, full size saloon, 2 drivers in July/Aug collecting from Avis at the Loews Miami Beach. I booked on the US Avis site and used their conversion tool

If you've booked in the USA it normally doesn't include insurance

I looked at this... mid August to start of Sept. 19 days hire, pick up from Lowes Miami Beach drop of at the airport, full size SUV - $3500! No way would we pay that!

You had me worried there but we’ve reread our agreement and all necessary insurances are included. We’ve just done another quote and the dates and size we have booked is over £2k, glad we booked it back on Sept.
