I'm hoping to be going to California later this month. All booked.. is cash still widely accepted please?

Going San Francisco and Los Angeles

I would check individual places - there was certainly more prevalence on using Apple Pay/card in my usual places with NO CASH signs up at tills (due to covid I guess ?) - contact with customers is certainly much more reduced than we have had in UK over the pandemic. They are incredibly covid aware

Only time i used cash last month was when paying for Gas , everything else i used my card for.

Was that a personal choice though?

I have a fair amount of cash left over from a previous trip you see, I do rather use cash too.
