UBER - whats the current situation

Hi All

We are heading to FL in Feb half term and whilst we have a car staying, we are staying at The Rosen Inn, International Drive so cheaper to get an UBER as opposed to paying parking.

When I look on the UBER app it shows a standard UBER with a 3 next to the person symbol - does that mean they are currently only taking 3 people and we would need to order an XL each time?

Thanks

If there are 4 of you, yes. At present Uber aren't allowing anyone to sit up front in the passenger seat. We're 'Uber-ing' too next month and will order XLs instead.

We're thinking of doing the same, but not till next August so hopefully by then we might be on standard Uber sizes but I was wondering, if it has to be an XL for a family of 4 are there enough XLs for peak time or does it cut out a large proportion of the fleet and cause longer wait times.

Last time we went we used XL only and had no bother at all getting them. Even a quick look around the Disney Springs area now on the app (obviously at 3 in the morning) shows 6 mins for a standard and 7 mins for an XL.

Hi, we are staying in Disney in July/August and when travelling out planning to use Uber. Do you use the same app as we use in the UK. Also what is the availability like? Is there always one available and what are costs like?

Edited at 12:20 AM. Reason: Typo

Yes same app, never had more than five minute wait except a pick up from Four Corners at 4.30am going to the airport , which was ten but clearly advised on the app.
For prices google for Uber calculator (or Lyft calculator)

Yes unless things change before hand, an XL will be 4 people as they aren't allowing anyone next to the driver. So you'll need two standard ubers.
