If anyone in the party may be sea sick they hire out wrist bands that stop this happening
Likewise from Monterey. The two are very close to each other and cover common ground. There were Moss Landing ships near to ours out of Monterey and in addition, they communicate with each other re sightings. We saw 500 Risso Dolphins and were in fact called over to them by what I believe was a Moss Landing Ship.

Ours out of Monterey also had an Oceanographer on board and the commentary was invaluable.

With the benefit of hindsight, the most important thing of all in the event that any are prone to seasickness is to go on a big boat, preferably not flat bottomed.

We chose Monterey because of the legendary Cannery row and of course Monterey has that huge aquarium. We were not disappointed!

Before going, it is worth going on the site, Monterey Bay Whale Watch and viewing their historic diary of sightings. Some whales are seasonal and thus, you can see what has been out there at various times of the year.

In October we are hoping to see Blues. We know Greys are highly unlikely.
