Recommendations for a sun holiday

My daughters both finish their exams late June/early July and was looking for a chilled, sun holiday recommendation if anyone could suggest anything. At first we thought about Egypt as we've been a couple of times before but then thought maybe somewhere else? Ideally looking for a nice hotel, maybe all inclusive but with Al a carte options, nice town so we can get off the complex and maybe some other days out.

I know I'm asking a lot

Looking at a couple of days chilling by the pool but would definitely want to get out and about, can't see the point travelling to another country to stay poolside

Malta is nice if you like a bit of history, I like lanzarote but although it's hot it can get windy . Quite a few nice places on the costa del sol to visit ,but really need a car

Depending on budget you can’t go wrong with Ikos
We all loved Ikos Dassia and you get a mini for a day to explore the island
Availability is tight for this year though

We loved Kos, in Greece, especially the Old Town.
Also love Croatia, Split area is beautiful and so much to see and do!

Mainland Spain would be my choice. If you like getting out and about, there are some lovely mountain villages all over the place as well as historic sights like Roman and Moorish remains. My last beach holiday before the pandemic was to Rhodes. That’s a nice mix of beach and historic old town. We stayed at the Sheraton and we took the bus to the old town a few times.
