Yes waiting for dvc resorts to open would be fine. I did see sse then it went quickly.
Also happy to rent dvc and do akl or another resort. I’d rather stay onsite to get the mde to the airport and ease with having small kids. I’d also rather not book stuff like dvc rental right now just in case something does come available, but then I run the risk of losing out there too. Booking the us at no risk seems the best option. Out of interest if we were to rent which resort would people think? Akl or maybe a monorail resort to make the most of magic kingdom?

I would check availability before getting your heart set on a specific resort. There’s a link in one of the DVC stickies to a website that lets you check. You may find only OKW or SSR with availability when the time comes. We had hoped for a couple of nights at Boardwalk last year but no availability.

I looked at David’s dvc last night which had akl or bc but I guess the longer we leave it the less choice we will have

Have u look into calling Disney US not UK to see if they have availability?
I had a similar situation but what I did was secure the room with Disney US, at least I don’t have to move resort, then just before Xmas, our extra nights appear available. ( we go in July) yay! So good luck n don’t give up |
