Disgusting.

When my middle child was at nursery one of his best friends was brought in by taxi, paid for by the LA as he has medical needs.

One day while standing waiting to get in, I saw the taxi come down the hill of the school grounds, with the wee boy sitting on the drivers lap steering the car! The escort in the back laughing. The car came down the hill round the car park and into the disabled space at the front of the nursery.

My flabber was well and truly gasted!

Once I'd signed my son in, I called into the office and told the head of centre, she thanked me for letting her know and he lost his contract with the local authority.

During the investigation it came out that the incident I had witnessed wasn't the first time. It was a regular occurrence, but the other parents didn't want to get involved

The school grounds are covered by CCTV, so the school & nursery were able to provide that as evidence.

Many years ago we pulled onto a dual carriageway behind a car that had a pushchair in the boot. However, the pushchair hadn’t been folded, was still upright and still had the child of about 12 month old strapped in it! He was sort of squished up against the glass back window. An older man, possibly grandad, driving along like it was perfectly normal. It was an interesting call to the police trying to describe what was going on! I do wonder sometimes where these people actually leave their brains when they put a child in such danger.

I saw a man driving with 5 kids at the back on a busy road last night sat on each others laps... thought people knew how stupid this is now... clearly not as he wasn’t exactly driving sensibly either
