Here was my dd ready from her prom Thursday. She had a lovely time but I got a tearful call at 5:45 yesterday morning to pick her up from after prom as she was exhausted (not drunk as she doesn’t drink thank goodness- her choice)

Excuse the tags!

My dd also wore a suit. The last time she wore a dress was at holy communion. This makes me so happy that other young ones are wearing what they are comfortable in.

Omg I love this. I bet they had a great night too.

My eldest has autism, he wouldn’t go to his prom either, but after much persuading, and hiring a suit ( He also didn’t want us to pay for something he wouldn’t wear again) he went to his prom. He sat with the teachers that helped him through the tough years and got him through to the end of school. Mind you this was nearly 8 years ago

His keyworker would have definitely gone to prom if he had wanted to go.

We have suit buying to do in August as we have a family wedding to go to. He says hes happy to have one as long as he has a waistcoat!

Loving the photos. They all look so grown up.

We had prom on Tuesday. Apparently it was a ‘alright’ . The after party was good. (Although who would have 100 kids back to their house?!). DS arrived home at 9am and promptly went straight to bed.

Oh to be young...

DS didn’t want his photo on here but he looked so smart! (eBay bargain - cheaper than the hire charge
!)

These guys went to separate secondary schools but have all kept in contact and they are so supportive of DS.
One of the other lads has asd too and wouldnt cope with a prom and one of the girls decided she couldnt be doing with the fuss. So it was great for them to celebrate the end of school.
A talented friend made the cake. Each one caught as a fondant figure

Hes the one in the crawl position - I had just moaned I couldnt see him!

(And hes the one in the fourth photo hiding at the back holding his Pride Mickey)
Fab photos, what a great evening they must’ve had!

Great thread Floridatilly.

I love seeing all the prom suits/dresses, they all look so lovely.

Me and my Niece had a great day Prom shopping on Tuesday. It was her Prom on Friday. She had a wonderful time.
